Character:
Applejack from My Little Pony: Equestria Girls
First worn to:
Halloween 2013, Anime North 2014, Animaritime 2014.
Applejack was my favorite G1 pony, she was married to my Big Brother pony Salty and they had 2 Pegasus baby twins and later adopted an earth pony orphan name Cuddles. I still have them and the other 149 G1 ponies that I have collected over the years. So when I was wandering YouTube one day and came across My Little Pony: Friendship is magic (back before it became mane-stream, haha, get it?) and saw that Applejack was one of the main characters, I started watching. Then Equestira Girls came out and my chance to dress up as my favorite pony became a thing!
The actual outfit she has in the show lacked some finer details due to the animation style, so I ended up also using the fan-art I found on google for reference as well.
The shirt is a commercial pattern which I altered to have the green yoke and lengthened. I drafted the jean skirt and Crinoline (which is orange and yellow; Applejacks colours). I drafted the socks and appliques as well. The shoes, hat and belt are from Value Village, however the Apple belt buckle was made by me with Worbla.
And yes, I did give out apples when I wore it.
